HAN2460 Alpha 40 Trainer ARF
Looking for a great trainer in the classic “high wing” style? Then look
no further than Hangar 9’s
Alpha 40 ARF. Thanks to its large flat bottom
wing that offers a degree of positive self-recovering
flight characteristics
the Alpha 40 is a great choice for training, allowing the novice pilot
more time
to react.
The Alpha 40 can be flight ready in less than a weekend. A few simple
assembly steps are all that’s
required, and each step is fully explained
in the photo illustrated assembly guide.
Constructed entirely from selected balsa wood and laser cut plywood the
result is a very light,
rugged airframe and the generous wingspan of
sixty-three inches enables this model to fly quite
slowly allowing the
novice pilot plenty of time to react to sudden changes in the models
flight
attitude.
When it comes to power, the Alpha 40 can be powered by either a conventional
0.40-.46 two-stroke
glow engine, Evolution’s Trainer Power System or
E-flite’s powerful Power 25 brushless electric
motor, making it one of
the most versatile trainers available. All of the necessary hardware
for
either choice of power is included in the comprehensive hardware
pack so either way there’s
nothing more to buy.
The model is covered with Ultracote in a “high visibility”
colour scheme that makes the model
easier to see in the air, a great help when learning
to fly! On the ground a rugged tricycle
undercarriage not only ensures
positive ground handling, it flexes enough to absorb shocks from
any
bumpy landings that the novice pilot might perform.
