Hangar9’s P-51 shaped
(parabolic) polished aluminium spinners are the perfect finishing
touch for many different types of model from glow engine powered
models to larger electric motor models.
CNC machined from aluminium bar stock these superbly machined spinners
feature
a machined lip to the rear of the spinner and this lip locates securely
to a similar lip on the edge of the back plate ensuring the safe location
of the spinner to the back plate time after time.
Each spinner comes
with a standard 10-32 single bolt mounting system making it interchangeable
with TruTurn adapter kits and the spinner itself is pre-cut to take
two-bladed propellers, so there is no need to struggle with this often
awkward job. |

Nearly all model
aircraft have a cockpit! Either open or in the form of an enclosed
cockpit with a canopy, thanks to Hangar 9 this important area can be
finished with the added realism that a scale pilot can add.
A comprehensive range of lightweight super detailed latex pilots are
available. Easy to paint these pilots have a wealth of molded in life-like
detail; helmet, goggles, parachute harness, life vest, or scarf detail
etc. They come in a range of sizes and scales from 1/10th right up
to 1/3rd with both military and civilian figures available. The military
pilots have the added benefit of being molded in jet attire along withWorld
War 1 or World War 2 styles and different nationalities with different
styles of uniforms makes them ideal for use in scale warbirds. So there
is no need for your model to have an empty cockpit! |

Even if you are planning
to purchase an ARF plane a level of construction wll be needed. Hangar
9 has a range of two part epoxy adhesive along with fibreglass tapes
and cloth for reinforcing high stress areas |

Two entirely different glider
launch systems are available from Hangar 9. The first is a relatively
simple “piggy back” system whereby the glider is supported
in a cradle mounted atop a suitable high wing model ready for release
at a suitable height by means of a simple servo linkage.
The other launching method is the “bungee” system. In simple
terms an elasticised launch system whereby a length of tow-line and
rubber cord are attached to a fixed peg in the ground and stretched
out to a sufficient length and then attached to the glider. When the
glider is released the energy in the stretched bungee line propels
the glider forward and upward, the tow line being released by the pilot
when a suitable height is attained. |

Top quality batteries and
chargers are available to power the range of Hangar 9 electronic equipment
from 12VoltDC field box panels, to fuel pumps, starters, glow plug
drivers, and tachometers. Each battery has it’s own dedicated
charger and these are designed to optimise battery life and performance. |

A range of lightweight and
durable wheels for use on model aircraft manufactured to the same high
quality as those wheels supplied in Hangar 9 kits.To compliment these
wheels Hangar 9 have designed sets of retracting landing gear for use
primarily in the Hangar 9 warbird range, they may of course be used
in any other suitably sized model that requires retracts. Available
as two leg and three leg main gear, they are also available with steerable
nose legs, and 90% rotating versions for use in scale warbirds such
as the P40 or Corsair.
Replacement landing aluminium landing gear of all styles is available
for all Hangar 9 planes. |
