Hangar 9’s giant scale Edge
540 is their lightest third scale precision, 3D flying model
to date. It is capable of performing hovers, torque rolls and
the full range of freestyle aerobatics. Designed by top Tournament
of Champions pilot Mike McConville, this is a fantastic model
with unlimited aerobatic potential.
It is so light that it will enhance your flying skills and boost
your confidence when you are able to fly such an awesome model
with ease. The Edge is constructed from laser cut plywood and balsa
wood, which gives both extraordinary strength and lightness whilst
retaining a “flex free” airframe for precise aerobatics.
Durable carbon fibre landing gear, pre painted fibreglass cowl,
wheel spats, and a two-piece plug in wing and rear stabiliser make
transport and assembly at the flying field very easy. The elevators
are positioned in such a way as to allow the stabiliser to be removed
without disturbing the linkages and the servos are positioned close
to the control surfaces giving short precise linkages for maximum
control.
Hangar 9 also offers an optional hardware package (HAN1220) that
contains all the accessories you need to get into the air.
A fantastic looking model covered with Ultracote® in a stunning
trim scheme of red, white, blue and silver, and for that final
touch of class, a tinted canopy. |
