The T-34 Mentor was a successful
post World War Two training aircraft. Used by the U.S. Navy,
Coast Guard and Air Force pilots it became one of the era’s
ultimate flight trainers. Developed privately by Beechcraft,
it was a first class piston engined trainer.
Now you can experience the history of this great trainer with Hanger
9’s T-34 Mentor, this 40 size model not only retains the
full-size Mentor's scale appearance, but also its excellent sport
aerobatic performance.
The T-34 comes with a fixed tricycle undercarriage, but this can
be easily upgraded to a retracting undercarriage using Hanger 9’s
mechanical retracts that use the same mounting bolt pattern.
The striking yellow Navy colour scheme using Hangar 9’s UltraCote® comes
complete with all the decals to add to the T-34’s authentic
and scale appearance. The pre-painted fibreglass cowl leaves very
little of the engine showing and along with a finished pre-painted
canopy and a quality hardware pack you can have this great model
in the air in next to no time at all.
Powering it an Evolution 40 – 46 2-stroke makes an excellent
choice, and gives a very scale performance. |
