Hangar 9 has entered a new arena for the first time with a plane designed specifically for the new range of lightweight petrol engines such as the new Evolution 35GT. Manufactured exclusively for Horizon in the U.S.A they are distributed by Helger Distribution here in the U.K.
The Extra 230 is constructed from very light balsa and laser-cut plywood which guarantees higher performance in addition the inclusion of carbon fibre landing gear, which is lighter and stronger than aluminium but more durable in the event of a hard landing.
The Extra’s mid-wing layout is perfect for performing super axial rolls and easier hovering; designed for top levels of aerobatic performance and 3D flying this is the model to choose if you want to stand out from the crowd.
Pre painted cowling and wheel spats add a touch of class and it’s finished with a striking red, white, and pearl blue UltraCote colour scheme. If the Extra looks great on the ground, it looks even more stunning in the air!
