This
great model looks fast even when it’s sitting on the runway,
and the key to this lies in the fantastic racer styling and features.
The streamlined cockpit with racer helmet figure blends into
the fuselage right back to the tail-fin and the equally stylish
engine cowling with fully faired side cheeks completely encloses
the engine. The exhaust exits from the bottom without the need
to cut away the cowl, and the tapered wing with it’s racing
graphics complete the “racer” look.
Great looks though are just the start of the Sundowner experience.
The design of this model makes it an ideal introduction to the
exciting sport of air racing and pilots will feel secure and comfortable
at speeds up to 120mph. Also capable of being flown as an aerobatic
sport model should you wish, the Sundowner may be powered with
a variety of glow and petrol engines, or it can be converted to
electric power for silent, high speed fun.
Although a large model, transport to the flying field is easy thanks
to the two-piece plug in wing and tail-plane. On site access to
the radio bay is equally easy due to the large removable top hatch,
and there is a further hatch to the rear of the fuselage that allows
easy access to the rudder and elevator servos.
The comprehensive hardware pack includes high quality giant scale
items for strength and durability including lightweight aluminium
wing tubes, and Hangar 9’s usual photo illustrated assembly
guide completes this superb package. |
