FREESTYLE

A relatively recent addition to the aerobatic scene is the rapid growth in freestyle aerobatic
models. So what makes these models so different? Well right from the start they are designed to fly
at the very limits of performance, having an ability to perform extreme 3D manoeuvres, whereby
the aircraft is able to hover, almost stationary in the air, defying the rules of flight. Truly stunning,
and outrageous performance.

PRECISION AEROBATICS

These aircraft are designed to emulate the flight performance of the many full-scale aerobatic
aircraft that are flown in competitions around the world today.
Capable of performing high plus or minus G manoeuvres these nimble aircraft fly to a precise
Internationally recognised aerobatic schedule, the Federation Aeronautique Internationale (F.A.I)
Aresti schedule, where positioning and accuracy of the aircraft in the sky, is all important.

WARBIRDS

The Hangar 9 range of warbirds allow the modeler the chance, albeit on a smaller scale to
experience the thrills of flying a fighter plane. Equipped with retracting landing gear, sleek looks
and accurate paint schemes, these models perform in a very realistic manner, looking at their best
when flown in low strafing runs across the field, pulling up into gloriously slow victory rolls, and
coming in to perform a perfect three point landing with the flaps and gear down at the end of
another successful mission.

SUPER SCALE

Super Scale models are just that, models based on full size aircraft with a wealth of scale detail
allowing the modeler to recreate a truly outstanding representation of the original. Fully detailed
and functioning landing gear, detailed flight control surfaces, accurate and detailed instrument
panels, dummy engines, properly airfoil shaped wing struts, but above all super scale looks and
flight performance all contribute to a Super Scale model.

SPORTS FLYING

The staple diet of many flying clubs. The sport model, so called because of their superb durability
and performance. These models are rugged enough to handle the rigors of week after week flying
without getting knocked out of shape, aerobatic enough to keep the adrenaline flowing, and
compact enough to get into and out of all but the smallest flying sites. The real bonus however is
the fact that they can be flown with inexpensive 4 or 6 channel radios, and be powered
with economically priced two-stroke glow engines

TRAINERS

With the exception of the P-51 Mustang, which takes a brand new approach to the concept of a
trainer these trainers are traditional high wing cabin type which have generous wing areas and
light wing loadings. They also possess very stable flight characteristics, and a degree of "self
righting" that allow the novice time to think and react. Covered in high visibility colour schemes
that make them easier to see in the air, and equipped with tricycle landing gear that helps to avoid
"nose-overs" all of these rugged models are designed and built to withstand the bumps
and knocks that are inevitable during the learning curve.

CONTROL LINE

Long before radio controlled flying became the norm models were flown either in free flight model
or by using control lines. Now with this latest addition to the Hangar9 range of models, modellers
looking to step back in time and recreate those early days can do so easily with this super ready to
fly control line model.
