This four channel model with its on board AS3X technology and scale inlet and exhaust ducting brings a whole new flying experience to modellers that prefer to fly smaller scale models.

The red and white pre-painted all foam airframe features an accurate scale outline with moulded panel lines, hatches and dummy guns, whilst the swept-back wing has the distinctive "wing fences" on the upper surface. For even more realism in the air the tricycle landing gear can be quickly and easily removed allowing the model to be hand launched and belly landed safely back to ground with minimal risk of damage.

Onboard the model features AS3X technology; an onboard system which automatically monitors, corrects and enhances the movements of the control surfaces enabling what might otherwise be a relatively difficult model to fly to be flown smoothly and easily, even in light winds.

The Delta V 180 28mm fan unit is perfectly matched to the BL180 brushless fan motor delivering real jet like performance whilst E-flite's 200mAh 2S LiPo battery provides ample duration. Pre-installed performance linear servos give crisp control of the rudder elevator and ailerons, and with nothing else to buy it's simply a matter of binding any suitable DSM2 or DSMX transmitter to the onboard receiver/ESC unit.

Mikoyan-Guryevich MiG-15

History can often turn up some quite amazing surprises. None more so than the fact that were it not for the supply of some 55 Rolls-Royce Nene jet engines to Russia after WW2, the development of the Mikoyan-Guryevich MiG-15 would have been greatly delayed, or perhaps never developed at all.

The British government of the day agreed to supply 55 of the engines to the Soviet Union giving the Commu¬nist giant an unprecedented boost in engine technology. Thus it was that the Mikoyan-Guryevich Design Bureau would have a prototype MiG-15 powered by a Klimov VK-1 (in reality a copy of the Rolls-Royce Nene) ready for flight at the end of December 1948.

By any standards of the day the Mig-15 was an outstanding aircraft and would go on to be produced by many Soviet satellite countries with some 12,000 versions being built. The Mig-15 would also see service with some 40 air forces through out the world.

The MiG-15 made its first combat appearance, much to the surprise of American pilots over Korea, in November of 1950. For the next three years the MiG-15s were flown for air superiority over Korea by Chinese or North Korean pilots. Sometimes however by Soviet pilots too against the United States Air Force with their F-86 Sabres.

The Mikoyan-Guryevich MiG-15 proved to have a superb perfor¬mance, better in several areas than its principal opponent, the North American F-86 Sabre. The MiG-15 had a better altitude capability, a better rate of climb, and at some altitudes was faster than the Sabre. The MiG-15 is believed to have been the most widely produced jet fighter aircraft ever made.
