The Taylorcraft
is a conventional high wing fabric covered two seat aircraft
from the 1940s. It was known for its luxury, speed and efficiency
with what was then a relatively limited horsepower engine.
E-flite have recreated this aviation icon with this
almost ready to fly electric version of the clipped
wing Taylorcraft. Scale enthusiasts will marvel at
the incredible detail and accurate appearance which
is enhanced with moulded fabric covered seats, painted
trim on the overhead window, pre-painted fibreglass
cowl and wheel spats and balsa wood strut covers
that all contribute to the scale appearance.
Constructed from laser-cut lightweight balsa and plywood
the Taylorcraft uses the newly designed sliding motor mount
system that allows you the option to mount a variety of motors
to the airframe, recommended motor is either the E-flite
450 or 480 brushless outrunner. It’s lightweight construction
and high wing layout makes the model both docile and easy
to fly, but thanks to the clipped wing the Taylorcraft is
capable of mild aerobatics such as loops, rolls, and even
inverted flight.
Changing the battery at the airfield is quick and easy thanks
to the magnetic battery hatch, and the model is covered in
UltraCote in an authentic scale colour scheme of cream with
red trim which captures all the style and grace of what for
many was the “golden era” of civilian aviation.
A comprehensive hardware pack and illustrated assembly guide
along with the pre-fitted control surfaces and steerable
tail wheel means this super model can be flight ready in
no time at all.
