Anyone wanting to learn to fly need look no further, the new E-flite
Apprentice 15e RTF is the perfect model to choose, whilst not intended
for “go it alone” flying, with a little assistance of a model flying
club instructor the E-flite Apprentice is the perfect trainer with
which to learn the basics and beyond. The Apprentice features a generous
1475mm (58inch) wingspan that comes with everything you need to go
flying. This one-box purchase includes the full-range DX5e Spektrum
radio with the 2.4GHz interference-free technology, AR500 receiver,
and a 3S 3200 mAh 15C Li-Po battery and charger. There is absolutely
no building required (simple assembly) - just charge and install the
included battery, mount the wing and tail (simple assembly) and fly.
The Apprentice is powered with a 15-size brushless outrunner providing
excellent power and performance whilst the battery has sufficient duration
for up to 15-minute flight times, changing batteries at the flying
field without having to remove the wing between flights is easy thanks
to the access hatch on the bottom of the fuselage.
The model features a flat-bottom wing designed to offer a degree of
“self-righting” ability coupled with stable flight characteristics
allowing the novice pilot plenty of time to react, and being constructed
from durable lightweight Z-foam it is easily repairable and more than
able to withstand the inevitable bumps and bruises normally acquired
during flight training. The Apprentice makes the perfect training aircraft
thanks to its gentle flight characteristics and sprung wire tricycle
landing gear that ensures better ground handling and allows the model
to take-off and land from either short grass or hard runways. |
