| ParkZone’s
latest addition to their Warbird range is the dynamic F4U Corsair that
is available in two versions either Plug and Play, with the servos fitted
ready to accept your receiver and flight pack, or a Ready to Fly version
that comes complete with the latest Spektrum 2.4Ghx DX5e radio fully installed,
an 11.1volt 1800Mah 3 cell Li-Po battery and a balancing charger all included
requiring no additional purchases. If not one of the most successful fighters
of the Pacific Theatre during World War Two the F4U Corsair was easily
the most recognisable with its distinctive cranked “inverted gull wing”
designed to allow sufficient ground clearance to accommodate the large
propeller fitted to the aircraft without the need for extra long landing
gear. The Corsair comes ready painted in an authentic tri-colour scheme as used by the US Navy and also features the correct early red outlined “stars and bars” insignia together with a painted pilot figure and extensive panel line and rivet detail on the fuselage and wings, other scale details include the aluminium “dome” spinner, dummy radial engine, painted nose art on the cowling and the three-bladed (scale) and two-bladed propellers (the two-bladed propeller giving more thrust). Powered by a powerful 480 size motor the model has very spirited warbird performance, rolls loops and high speed beat-ups are all performed with ease and with the 11.1volt 1800Mah Li-Po battery flight duration is over 10 minutes. The model comes with fixed landing gear with a steerable tail-wheel for positive ground handling. The landing gear is easily removable should you wish to enhance the scale looks of the model in the air and optional landing skids are included so that the model may be landed safely on the ground minimising the risk of damage to the underside. Access to the battery and radio bay is very easy via the large removable top hatch that is simply held in place with dowels and magnets. (PKZ4675) version for modellers who already own radios-batteries etc, this
version comes complete with servos, motor and speed controller pre-installed
requiring just your transmitter, receiver and a suitable 3-cell 11.1Volt
1800-2100mah Li-Po battery and Li-Po charger to get this great war bird
