During 2005 some very skilled pilots were invited to join the fledgling
flight team, and from the summer of 2005 team members attended
several major model shows and club events, throughout the winter
some members did club talks and demonstrations.
For 2006 and beyond, the team are already booked into many more shows,
and this will provide more than enough opportunity for the team to
display their skills, and the varied and exciting range of models that
will be flown throughout the year.
As to the team members themselves, they are a very
talented cross section of model fliers coming from many varied
backgrounds and bring with them a wealth of knowledge and a variety
of skills. They have however, got one very important quality
in common, which is the desire to demonstrate whatever model
they happen to be flying to its full potential. Above all though
when attending shows or club fly-ins they will be approachable
and accessible, so that should any spectator or member of the
public have any questions, or would like a closer look at the
models they can feel confident that they will get a warm reception
when talking to the guys of the flight display team. Ok, perhaps
if one of the them is just about to start an engine, it may not
be the best time, but at most other times feel free! They all
will be delighted to meet and talk to you and answer any questions
that you may have.
Lets have a closer look at the team members, well the
age ranges from a very talented thirteen old, to an equally talented(?)sixty-year
old, although we don’t mention the big number too much, or
the waistline!! |
