Recently, the Horizon Hobby Service Center has received a small number of reports from customers claiming un-commanded servo movements and loss of RF link during the activation of the vibrator motor in some DX8’s from the initial shipment. Horizon requests that all DX8 customers with the Product ID (PID) HS008X or HS009X found in the battery compartment carefully check their radios to determine if their transmitter has this issue prior to flying. |

Transmitters with a PID other than HS008X and HS009X are not affected by this bulletin.If you have a DX8 with the affected PID, please perform the following test. • Step 1: If your model is electric, unplug motor leads from ESC for safety. Should you find that your transmitter is affected by this issue, it needs to be returned to the nearest Spektrum authorised service center to arrange for a free upgrade to your DX8 performed by a Horizon Hobby authorised technician. You can return your radio one of two ways: 1. By taking it to the modelshop you purchased it from. We will arrange a collection from there, upgrade and then return it. 2. By taking it into you local FedEx Depot. Quote the reference 115514/A and they will return it to us at no cost to you. If neither of these methods are convenient for you please contact us at sales@horizonhobby.co.uk using DX8 upgrade as the subject line. We will do our upmost to collect the radio and effect the repair with the minimum of inconvenience to you. Whichever way you return the radio would you please be sure to download the returns form, fill it in and include it with the radio.
