The Electric Indoor Masters

Prop Hanging Group Flying

The Electric Indoor Masters (EIM) took place once again at the Richard Dunn Sports Centre in Bradford.
Organised by the British Model Flying Association (BMFA) and held over the weekend of December the 3rd and 4th the event was attended by pilots from many parts of the UK, Europe and a special guest from the USA, Champion pilot and designer Mike McConville.

The EIM is the only truly international RC Indoor Aerobatic Competition held in the UK and this year's event was said by many of the participants to be the best event ever. This superb venue was host to a weekend of indoor flying where some of the worlds top pilots were competing for trophies in the following classes: F3P (3 classes)
Aeromusical, Synchro Pair, Freestyle, Pylon Racing and the Katie Anne Whitehead Memorial Trophy.
Top pilots from England, Scotland and Northern Ireland were joined by pilots from many other countries including Poland, Holland, France, Sweden, Lithuania and the USA bringing the number of participants to over 30 and making the event a truly international affair.
Throughout the weekend raffle tickets were available for £1 a ticket and some mouth watering prizes were on offer including indoor models, radio gear, magazine subscriptions and a weeks holiday for two in Corfu, Greece just waiting to be won!
After Saturdays hectic competition flying the atmosphere became more relaxed and Horizon Hobby provided a buffet for all of the pilots, pit crews and

helpers and duly refreshed the rest of the evening was set aside for everyone to "have a go" with a whole range of Horizon's micro models, many of which were designed by special guest, Mike McConville. Throughout the weekend Mike took the opportunity to chat with pilots and spectators alike and explain all about the latest AS3X technology and Horizon Hobby's continued commitment and development of and ever increasing range of electric indoor models.

Special thanks to John Norris, Matthew Poots, Trevor Poots and Mike McConville for making this part of the event such fun and of course a big thank you to the BMFA for their outstanding hard work which made the whole weekend possible.
