Each of the glues has been extensively developed and manufactured using the finest materials, to deliver the very best bond possible and by using high quality material. Each glue is guaranteed to be perfectly matched to its proposed application. The glues come in a balanced range of different viscosities and cure times, consisting of epoxy based adhesive as well as a full range of Cyanoacrylate (CA or super glues) fast set liquid glues.

There is a full range of flexible and rubber toughened CAs from a thin for maximum penetration with a 2-5 second setting time, to a gap filling formulation with slower set times of 5-15 seconds and includes odourless, foam safe CA. There is also a foam safe accelerator for use with most lightweight foam models where a faster setting time is needed.
On vertical surfaces where liquid glues may run away Bob Smith Industries offer an IC-gel that sets between 10-25 seconds or even quicker if an accelerator is used. For model car racers a rubber-toughened tyre glue with a set time of 20 to 45 seconds is also available along with a very thin fast acting glue for those difficult gluing tyres that has a very high bond between the rubber and the plastic of the wheel .

The range of epoxy adhesives comprises four main products - a 5 minute Quick-Cure epoxy that is ideal for instant repairs or in relatively lightly stressed areas of a model, a 15 minute Mid-Cure epoxy that may be used for general assembly work where weight is not a critical issue and the 30 Slow-Cure epoxy which is ideal for use in all high stress areas such as the engine mount firewall or landing gear mounts, the longer set time allows the adhesive maximum time to penetrate the materials and offers maximum strength. For modellers wishing to cover a model with lightweight fibreglass cloth and epoxy resin, BSI has Finish-Cure with a working time of around 20 minutes, and a ready to sand set time of 8 hours.
Each of these epoxies containes two main components, the epoxy resin, and the hardener, which when mixed in equal parts, the chemical interaction between these two parts causes the final mix to cure within the times quoted.

BSI industries have tried to produce glue for every single application possible with fantastic results. Not happy with just the product being right BSI has also produced some nice handy items to help you with glue application. Extender tips, which fit directly onto the end of the bottles, are a quick and easy way to control the flow of glue and also CA applicators for really fine detailed work with no mess. There is also the possibility to use Teflon tube to help reduce any mess when gluing, again ideal for those hard to reach places.
