For quite
some time and on a very small scale, Corally have
been matching batteries for their own team and
for very limited sales. This has now changed and
everyone is now able to enjoy some of the best
matched batteries on the market today. Due to their
very own specifically designed equipment they have
complete control over the matching process and
the results can be nothing more than perfect. With
a machine to charge the cells and then a separate
system to perform the discharge analysis, there
can be no variations from the equipment. The timing
and automated system is one of the most sophisticated
in the world and only used to match the batteries
for Corally. Set on a constant cycle the machine
is fully automatic and is left running 24hrs a
day 7 days a week.
The software designed for matching the cells also
notices trends and pit falls with new batteries.
When new cells are released 6 cells are placed in
the machine and left to be cycled for 5 days. In
this time each cell undergoes a series of tests and
cycles so at the end of the test the best possible
way to charge, manage and discharge the cells can
be found. When each pack is completed and boxed the
result from the worst cell in the pack is noted on
the outside of the box. This way you know how good
the pack will be as the pack can never be better
than the worst cell. Also included with the pack
of batteries are the bars and tubes for assembly
into any configuration required, the only thing missing
is the solder! Recommended charge rates, storage
suggestions and general battery care instructions
are also included along with a Corally decal sheet.
Once again Corally’s “no compromise” attitude
brings them straight to the front of battery matching
technology with the sheer quality of product.
All of this new technology has been used to match
the latest IB and EP 4600mAh batteries in 6, 5 and
4 cell packs.
