On the 10th January Maritime Raceway held their first indoor club meeting of the year at their all new impressive venue. The committee has worked extremely hard over the past few months to turn and old warehouse into the best indoor carpet facility the UK has ever seen.

With the racing surface glued to the floor, track markers fixed in place, surrounding area boarded for safety and a purpose built drivers stand, race control and scrutinering station the racing area is a touch of class. The clubs efforts didn't just finish with the racing area but have supplied a fully fitted pit area with mains supply on each table and chairs for everyone. Two electronic score boards help to keep people informed of the racing, along with the fully automated timing equipment the events will be sure to run like clockwork and with style.

With the racers wish list covered we move over to the fully fitted canteen where you are able to buy hot and cold food, drinks and the all important candy bars. Still not quite content with this the club have splashed out with a sofa and lounge area with a flat screen TV and DVD player, so anyone who does bring their kids or other half's along will have a place to relax in comfort.
The facility will be open for a two day event two weeks before the LRP TC masters, so an ideal opportunity for anyone wanting some last minute practice. Click HERE to enter the meeting.
