When radio controlled cars
where originally produced they where very limited in there
range of suspension adjustments. It was usually confined
to steering track rods and occasionally the top camber
link. As the cars have got faster and more sophisticated
the suspension systems have become much more complicated
inable to handle the power and speeds now common. In fact
they now resemble miniature F1 or World Rally Cars, the
range of adjustment is staggering. It has therefore become
vital to have a simple yet accurate way of setting the
toe -in and caster angles to ensure they are the same side
to side as well as the correct angle required to get the
maximum performance.
The Fioroni set up station is made from clear plastic with
the graduations etched into the surface. It consists of
four plates that take the place of the wheels along with
four triangular plates to read the camber angles and a
top slide plate to read toe-in. |
