Mini-T Differential Kit
The handling of any car or truck is hugely effected by the
efficiency of the differential. The differential fitted to
the Mini-T is a planetary gear type and is ideally suited
to the standard truck. It makes it easy to drive and will
always drive both wheels under forward acceleration evenly.
However when increasing the power and cornering speed of
the Mini-T this type of differential will show its limitations,
especially as powers applied hard whist in a corner. A geared
differential will always try to put as much power as possible
to the lightest loaded wheel and this usually results in
the inside wheel spinning and the truck stalling in the centre
of the turn.
MIP have resolved this and now offer a ball differential
to replace the standard unit. Designed and constructed in
the classic style the MIP differential is adjustable for
slip and will handle all the power that can be thrown at
it.
By adjusting the tension on the thrust race you can limit
the slip so that on a slow, tight track it can be set free
to aid the turning in the tight corners or on a fast high
grip track it can be set to have less slip and therefore
keep power going to the both wheels so that the truck will
continue to drive forward. Remember that the tighter the
differential the more the rear wheels will try to drive the
truck in a straight line.

Mini-T Transmission Top Gear
Machined from aluminium and hardcoated to reduce wear, this
one piece top shaft and gear replaces the standard two
piece shaft and gear.
By reducing the overall weight of the transmission the lightweight
shaft allows more of the motors power to drive the truck
forward and not be wasted spinning over all the mass of the
standard transmission. This will help to improve both acceleration,
top speed and duration.

Mini-T Coated Slipper
Machined from aluminium and finished with a hard anodised
coat, the MIP hard coated slipper replaces the standard plastic
plates improving the accuracy consistency of the slipper
settings allowing for more precise settings and longer life.

Mini-T Axles
The lighter the truck the faster it goes, so by replacing
the standard steel front axles two things happen. Firstly is
a reduction in the overall weight for acceleration and the
second is a reduction in the unsprung weight on the suspension.
By reducing unsprung weight the shocks have less work to do
and will therefore control the trucks suspension movement better
in both roll and bump. Axles come complete with nuts.
